Service Description
Artists will be encouraged to share their creativity while learning about the element and principles of design. This camp offers developing artists an opportunity to connect with their own style while exploring new and familiar artist techniques. Materials for this camp will include a variety of paints (watercolour, acrylic, gauche) drawing tools (artist pencils, pens and markers, pastels and charcoal), lino (for block printing), and clay. In addition, Artists will have the opportunity to bring their designs to life while learning to sew stuffies, flags or pillows! This camp runs from 9:30 - 4 Monday to Friday. What is included for a week-long camp? Supportive in-person learning taught by Local Artists and Ontario Certified Teachers All necessary art supplies Each student will be provided with their own sketchbook to collect their thoughts, process, and art over the course of the week Differentiated learning for all abilities and interests Many opportunities for instructional and intuitive material exploration Outdoor adventure & play - We’ll be safely traveling to and from the Kinsman Centennial Park (Only 1 block away!) to be inspired by local nature and wildlife as well as to allow for play and movement breaks during the week! Use of loose parts, experimenting, mess-making is encouraged to stimulate creativity! What is included for a week-long camp? Water bottle Lunch and snacks Sunscreen Artist clothing (consider giving clothing that is torn, stained, or a little too small a second life at art camp!)
